Well, rather than to pressure the fella writers at Peep Show, might as well i just have a go with the first post. Mind you readers, i’m not that great with the grammar and i don’t know what a “predicate undefined” means. But then again since it’s free writing (and cursing, yes wan, you can cuss…) i guess i might just as well write it as “free” as i can.
Ya, saya Tuan Brown, David… enough already.
………………..
One of the Peep Show members told me about this band called Hujan. She even gave me a link to listen to their samples. So, it was good, reminded me of that lo-fi thing every other fella was talking about back then but actually they were trying to make it hi-fi. Wait, that doesn’t sound right, does it? What’s a lo-fi anyway?
I went to the Figure8ight event at the Annexe last Saturday to see them live. She said Noh, Hujan’s vocalist, doesn’t really have a good voice saying i should see him sing. But with all that fuzzy filtered vocals in their tracks i personally think he carried out a tune pretty well.
Figure8ight got an ample space divided into three rooms and the performers were in the centre. The only entrance to the show was the centre room. The problem was, there was no stage.
Everyone was crowding and practically singing along to Hujan. And there was this bunch of college girls already dancing, screaming, singing (stripping? you wished wan…) and holding the lime green cd slips of the band’s first EP. So there was i dumbfounded with the amount of people keep on coming the centre room and i even couldnt listen to the music to the fact that sweaty, emo-afro dude was literally shouting next to my right ear. Gofigure8ight…
But everything was good. Everyone was having a blast. The Works which got themsleves the final slot were pretty amazed the crowd stayed till the end and the kid-next-door-turned-post-punk-poseur fellas were actually moshing to the metal dnb sounds. Even the chinese chick who dress as though like she was supposed to be at The Laundry were smiling and softly nodding her head to the music. Gofigure8ight…
The stalls and booths were good. Everything was good. I got a chair to sit at the Flowerdrum booth, so i is [sic] good. The last thing i heard about Figure8ight, Mr. Pang was having a massive head damage because the floor now is curved down due to massive bass burst and too many pogo stints. Gofigure8ight…

………………..
PS: Oh yeah i did get a Hujan CD after all that madness, it wasn’t the band, it was the girl who sold it to me… and then i get to know she was sixteen, lucky bastards… Gogopowerrangers… T_T
